Erin McKinney, a member of Hiram Christian Church in Hiram, Ohio, was appointed by Global Ministries to serve a one-year term (with the possibility of an extension) with Caminante in Boca Chica, Dominican Republic.
She will work with children in Caminante’s Outreach Ministry. Christian Church in Ohio is excited to affirm this wonderful Missionary Relationship with Erin. For more information about Global Ministries please visit www.globalministries.org.
Global Ministries is hosting another national Ministries and Mission Interpreters (MMI) training event in conjunction with Missionworks, our biennial mission education event. It will be in Cleveland, OH from the evening of Thursday October 2 to noon on Sunday October 5, 2008.
As you know, MMIs are individuals who tell the story of what Disciples are doing around the globe through Global Ministries and help Disciples congregations connect to that work in tangible ways through praying, educating, seeking justice, receiving, giving, sending and growing.
