- Week of Compassion – Week of Compassion is the relief, refugee and development mission fund of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada. They work with many different organizations around the world helping with disaster response, humanitarian aid, sustainable development and “the promotion of mission opportunities.” You can now make a special donation to the Week of Compassion towards their work in Haiti. - Red Cross – The International Red Cross has been the most influential relief and development organization. With approximately 97 million volunteers worldwide, they quickly mobilized to help the victims of the earthquakes in Haiti. You can donate online or simply text “HAITI” to 90999 from your mobile phone to donate $10 to the Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund.

- UNICEF – UNICEF is deploying clean water and sanitation supplies, therapeutic foods, medical supplies and temporary shelter to Jacmel and Port-au-Prince. UNICEF will also be focusing on children who have become separated from their families to protect them from harm or exploitation. No need to wait for those trick-or-treat boxes. - “Hope for Haiti” Telethon – Around a dozen U.S. television networks are teaming up for an all-star telethon for Haitian earthquake relief on Friday, January 22 at 8 p.m. EST. Networks showing the telethon are ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, CNN, BET, the CW, HBO, MTV, VH1 and CMT. It will also be available internationally.

Other options… Find a local charitable organization – Many different charitable organizations, including churches, are taking up collections to help with Haiti Relief. Find an organization in your community that you or your friends trust and they will most likely be able to help you with your donation.
